Sep 18, 2018 · Normally, removing a package using YUM package management system will remove that package together with its dependencies. However, certain dependencies will not be removed on the system, these are what we can term as “unused dependencies” or (so-called “leaf packages” according to YUM man page).
Sep 16, 2020 · When it finishes installing a package, these dependencies will linger on your system but be unused. Therefore, it's recommended to run the following command occasionally to remove any unused packages from your system. $ sudo apt autoremove

Notice that, when you installed requests, pip installed other dependencies too. The more packages you install, the bigger the chances that multiple packages depend on the same dependency. This is where the show command in pip comes in handy. Before you uninstall a package, make sure you run the show command for that package:
